DS822 is a bit of a fossil record of my anime fandom. If a show tweaks my analytical interest enough, I write a page for it. Once written, however, I don’t often go back and revise that page significantly, despite the fact that my own understanding of anime in general and these series in particular may well have changed. Sometimes I will add factual corrections or tidbits that my correspondents send me, but just as often not. I treat these sites rather as though they were paper publications: once they’re out there, they’re out there.
I am happy to hear from readers and to correspond with anyone who wants to discuss the series in question or anime and manga in general. The comment forms at the bottom of each page are there for that purpose. Please do, however, keep in mind that this is an analytical site and I’m really not interested in pairing wars or similar nonsense.
For those wondering, yes, I do have fanwork under another handle. I’m not fanatical about keeping the sites and identities separate, I’d just prefer that a google of my legal name turns up DS822 rather than my journal and archive. It’s better professional press.
