Here are some invented words, and some word riddles, and in fact anything having to do with words that seemed like it should go in the Weirdness section. Contributions from visitors are welcome.
Genkisima. This is a hybrid word. Genki is Japanese and means cheerful/happy/hyper. -isima (or -isimo) is a Spanish suffix that serves as an intensifier. Thus "genkisima" comes out to something like insanely perky. I chose the feminine version of the suffix because I invented this word to apply to the kind of fangirl that puts three exclamation points after every phrase and talks in computer-simglish babytalk.
WAROGAGOT. This one was contributed by Ken. It's an acronym for Wailing And Rending Of Garments And Gnashing Of Teeth. It's also onomatopoeia, being similar to the sound one makes when the computer crashes and takes three hours of hard work with it.
Cherry mead, and cherry tart, and cherry mead again. (author stifles snickers in the background)
